Pay Bar Service

A great choice if you are stretched on budget and still want a stunning bar and professional bar service. Most bar companies will charge you either a flat fee or a returnable deposit arrangement for a pay bar service. This may seem inappropriate given that they will also take the bar revenue, but from our experience, it is the only way to ensure that costs are covered and everyone is happy. If you are expecting more than 300 guests then you should be able to negotiate a good deal.

Tip: make sure you ask how much the drinks will cost and ask to see a sample menu.

Advantage: Much easier on your pocket and ensures a professional service. Allows you to put some money behind the bar and buy all your guests one drink each. We use a lovely card with a ribbon that can be given out at the wedding line and redeemed at the bar.

Disadvantage: Not so easy on your guests’ pockets! And this can be a problem if your bar provider cannot take payments by card. Otherwise no real disadvantage to this option.
